ValePTR: Not Quite What I Expected

I've heard good things about ValePTR for quite a while but only got around to joining the site very recently. I must admit that it isn't quite what I thought it would be. Based on all the good things I'd heard about it, I thought it would be more like DonkeyMails, my all-time favorite PTR, and have more "higher paying" emails (1/4 cent and up is all it takes to be higher paying in this crazy paid to read world!). I was soon disabused of this notion. ValePTR definitely seems to specialize in the lower paying paid to promote type of mails and clicks...it has LOTS of these. It seems like $.0005 per click is a good rate of pay here. The one exception to this may be search mails -- these aren't my favorite type of paid mail so I haven't signed up to receive them on Vale yet and don't know how many are sent each day. So, while Vale isn't quite what I expected, is it still worth joining?

The site definitely has some good points. It has no minimum payment for PayPal at all, and a $1 minimum for AlertPay and LibertyReserve. If you click on the same ads I've been clicking on, your earnings may be slow, but there are a bewildering number of ads to click. If you are the patient type, you'll definitely be able to pick up at least a few cents each day. With no minimum payment via PayPal, Vale can be a very regular payer for you. It also offers three paid to promote links; free members have two to choose from (including one that pays a flat $0.10 CPM rate for all tiers) while upgraded members have access to an additional higher paying option. Another Vale feature is contests. These come in various forms: there are lots of contest mails sent each day, a contest PTC section, and a monthly click contest that rewards you based on your total number clicks. This latter feature is one of the site's best perks: as long as you click 500 ads in a given month, you'll receive a cash bonus. This ranges from 1 cent for the 500 click tier all the way to 50 cents for those who manage to click over 20,000 ads, a truly astounding feat! I have mixed feelings about the referral system: Vale has just a single level referral system, though you do earn a healthy 10% cut off your direct referrals' earnings. Most countries are permitted, but members from a few countries (China, India, Poland, Russia) are not currently being allowed. In the terms, it says the whole Asia/Pacific region is also not allowed so perhaps Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, etc clickers cannot join either.

Ultimately, I think it's fair to say ValePTR is mainly for the Herculean clickers (and advertisers, Herculean or not) among us although the PTP feature has some general appeal. I'll continue using it and post again if my thoughts change -- keep in mind the site is still new to me so I'm yet in the process of looking it over.
